Worn Out

Still living in temporary housing, my youngest almost a teenager, my oldest trying to make a college decision and my middle guy leaving us for the summer for a fantastic opportuniy doing something he aligned himself up to make happened has left me drained, empty and out of spark.

Then I was sent this, The Gift Of An Ordinary Day. What a way to wake up, what a way to realize these days, drainging and tiringĀ  and what seem so ordinary really are extraordinary and they will not come back!

The pictures in this movie could have come from our photo album. I have to say thank you to Katrina Kenison for giving me back my present.

The Gift of an Ordinary Day: A Mother’s Memoir

I do not think I will be struggling making those six peanut sandwiches in the morning again, the nights I say please take a shower NOW! It is time for school, hurry up…. Sure I will go out with you to hit golf balls, sure I will go fishing, sure I will drive you because those days will slip away too.

Lots of checks, fill the refrigerator, learn to text, and yes read faces! Katrina knows the story this is one chapter and it is coming to the end.

I will try to stay in the present because that is the present.
