Little Red Hoodie

Internet Safety For Children

After reviewing Facebook Guide For Parents I thought it would be a good time to share with you a new book by Adrianna Kruse, Little Red Hoodie. This book is a twist on an old favorite and gives us a message to share with our children. The message is, Internet Safety. This book does not spell out when, what age or what sites are safe for your child but it is a tale of a of a smart, loving child who without knowing it gets caught into a trap. Is is scary? A little bit. Will it teach your child everything? No. Is it a great way to start learning about internet safety? Yes! That is what I feel this book is for a begining of a long process of learning SAFETY.

Internet Kid Safety Sites

Safe Kids- SafeKids.com is one of the oldest sites for Intenet safety.

Microsoft Online Safety- Tips to help your child stay safe online.

It’s never to early to have age appropriate conversations with your kids – even internet safety. They could accidentally type in a website address and get to a site they shouldn’t be at – empower them to know what to do if that happens (tell Mom and Dad immediately!)
