Last summer I interviewed two winners of the “Mom for Simplicity” online essay contest by HP.
Barbara Schantz and Kimberly Friedman were the two moms that I had the pleasure to interview. They were so excited. They won HP products; packed their bags and headed for Rome to see Dara Torres, five-time Olympic swimmer, compete! They were busy Moms with the need for technology to simplify their life!
This year, now that I know about the HP competition, I think I want in. I have had the opportunity to have some very peaceful moments because of technology and some very hectic days because of life.
This year, I wish I could go from Star Wars technology to Avatars energy.
Here is what it boils down too:
- Three Great Teenage boys
- Two Wrestlers
- One Gymnast
- Seven hours a day with the Gymnast
- Dad takes the wrestlers
- Food-on the go-all the time
- In between homes in different states!
- Oldest off to college next year
- Middle son decided to take job in another state at 16!
- How we stay connected to extended family-personal blog
- How we stay connected to each other-cell phone, text and a lot of love and patients
- How I stay sane my blog-Mom Technology ….. Simplifing Life
Still in my PJ’s and have to pick up my son! It is that way all the time. Why I am entering this contest? Because, not only is my son leaving this summer he wants to take my computer! Of course I will let him. As long as he sends pictures, updates our blog and basically remembers ME!
Whoever wins, all Moms deserve to, I will be here keeping you up to date with tips to simplify your life! Starting with this one- Everyday Microsoft gives away a new FREE software for your PC.

Good luck, I’d love to win also. It would be great to be able to work while I wait for the kids to finish their lessons.
Good luck to both of us! Thanks for the opportunity to participate.
I want in too
Good luck to us both!
It would be so convenient to have a Mini 110 for on-the-go computing, and this one is so pretty.
I have to do a lot of traveling and I use a friend’s extra laptop while I’m on the road. It would be great if I didn’t have to use his and didn’t have to carry such a big thing through airport security!
Thanks for the comments! It has to be crazy to try and pick a Mom-every Mom can use some simplifying! : )
Good luck to you!
