Holiday Cards Made Simple

Thanks for returning!

HappyHolidays

Technology is simplifying our lives this holiday season. With digital cameras and online photo services we get to be masterful with our holiday cards while staying sane! We get to be creative, artistic and photographers! We get to turn our little ones into a snowman or maybe spruce them up a bit with a very classic shirt and tie and then zip it over to a website where we can cut, re-size and then frame our angels. Even when they get bigger we still get to play and enjoy our babes through pictures.  Here are a few tips to getting your picture made into a beautiful card seamlessly.

Your Picture

If you have a great picture already, use it.

First and foremost if you have a picture that you know is adorable, perfect, ready to be use, then use it! Not until a friend told me that a picture we already had was great did I realize that it really was. If you need a second opinion get one.

Have fun you are making a memory

This may sound very “of course” but sometimes the actual picture holds a memory that can be way more important than the picture itself.

Family Picture Tips

  • Make sure no one is hungry (this was real important in our picture taking)
  • Clothes should be comfortable
  • Choose a setting that suites your style (we would be outdoors or by the tree usually)
  • If the timing is not right (someone is too tired) try again another time
  • Be fun, be jolly
  • Remember make a memory not just a picture

Photo Tips

  • Take lots of pictures, delete lots of pictures
  • Use candid shots
  • Photos do not have to be centered
  • You can even be real close up and off center (have fun)
  • Be sure you are in focus
  • Delete red eye
  • Think about your background before you click
