Another Winner With Great Tips!
I had the chance to interview another Mom who won the “Moms for Simplicity” online essay contest by HP. Moms For Simplicity asked moms to upload a photo and in two hundred words or less, illustrate how they used technology to simplify their life. The entries are displayed on a Mossaic and from over eight hundred entries three winners were picked with the help of Dara Torres, five time Olympic swimmer, mom and business women.
All three winners will receive a personalized $5,000 HP technology makeover, trip to watch Dara Torres compete in the U.S. National Swimming Championship and a trip to the FINA World championships in Rome (since Dara won!).
Winner Barbara Schantz
I had the chance to talk with Barbara and see how technology simplifies her busy life. First things first, Barbara has TWO sets of twins under the age of five and a home based business (that is busy). So of course I had to ask was what technology simplifies her life?
For my personal life I use the computer to pay my bills. I use PayTrust.com. I also use the computer for play dates using meetup.com there are about 100 local moms and sometimes I will go to the National Twins Club on line as well.
For business I use twitter, facebook, linkedin, cell phone and email! I need email to talk with people overseas that produce my product for Baby Dipper Bowl.
Which social network do you use the most?
Twitter is the most effective to get the word out and to make connections.
A Little Rome!
All three winners went to Rome to see Dara Torres compete. How beautiful!
Thank you Barbara! I have never used Pay Trust or Meet Up but I will look into these for time savers. These are some great tips for busy moms.
To learn more about Barbara’s product the baby dipper bowl go to babydipper.com. For Barbara’s blog go to babydipperblogspot.com
